TOA Electric Industrial Group: Human Rights Policy

Basic philosophy

The TOA Electric Industrial Group (TOA Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. [artron group] and affiliated companies; collectively, “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates as an electronics trading company, collaborating with various domestic and international business partners guided by our vision: “To achieve ‘Monodzukuri’ world-wide.” We recognize that both maintaining respect for internationally recognized human rights standards and striving to prevent adverse impacts on human rights in our business activities are essential to realizing a sustainable society and achieving sustainable company growth. Based on this understanding, we have established this policy and will communicate it to all executives and employees. We also expect our suppliers and stakeholders to understand and practice this policy, working collaboratively to promote respect for human rights.

Scope of application

Our policy applies to all executives and employees. We also expect our suppliers and business partners to understand and uphold the principles of this policy and to promote respect for human rights through collaborative efforts.

Respecting international human rights standards

We support and respect the International Bill of Human Rights, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and the core labor standards of the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Furthermore, we endorse the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact while conducting all of our business activities in accordance with these principles. We adhere to the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which we operate. In cases where internationally recognized human rights conflict with local laws and regulations, we will seek ways to uphold the international human rights principles while adhering to legal compliance. Furthermore, by conducting our business activities with integrity in each country and region, we will proactively support sustainable social development.

Addressing human rights issues

We pay particular attention to the following human rights issues related to our business activities and are committed to preventing and resolving them.
